HOT STONE REFLEXOLOGY
WHAT IS HOT STONE REFLEXOLOGY?
A reflex is a specific area or point on the foot or hand that corresponds to another part of the body. Applying pressure to stimulate these points will release congestion and allow the body to naturally heal itself.
The same principles as reflexology apply except that hot stones are used to stimulate the reflexes.
The heat from the stones penetrates to a deeper level and may reach up to 7-8cms into the superficial layer of muscle. This brings about physiological changes as well as improving energy flow, allowing for deeper relaxation and creating harmony and balance.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HOT STONE REFLEXOLOGY?
increased circulation and lymphatic drainage
increased elimination of waste products and toxins from your body
reduced muscle tension and a release of tension in connective tissue
strengthens the immune system
de-stresses and promotes relaxation
